Pixar In Concert
For the first time ever, a collection of music from Pixar's thirteen feature films is being performed by a full symphony orchestra, coupled with imagery from the films. The first performances took place on July 28 and 29 in San Francisco at Davies Symphony Hall.
Next up, on August 3, 4, and 5, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will perform film scores from Pixar projects and the stunning visuals will be projected in Los Angeles at the historic outdoor venue.

The Lion King Roars Back Into Select U.S. Cities
Tony-award winning and long-running musical The Lion King kicked off a U.S. tour this month in Houston. Between now and January 2013, the musical based on the 1994 animated film will traverse the U.S. with limited engagements also in St. Louis, Wichita, Albuquerque, and San Francisco.
Now in its 15th year, The Lion King continues to grow in its success, recently becoming the highest-grossing Broadway show in history. Since its Broadway premiere on November 13, 1997, 19 productions around the globe have been seen by more than 64 million people. The Lion King is the sixth longest-running musical in Broadway history and only the second show to produce five productions running 10 or more years. A UK tour launches in August of this year.

Merida from Brave Joins Disney On Ice!
Merida, the heroine from Disney*Pixar's latest hit film, is joining Disney On Ice's new spectacular, Rockin' Ever After. Merida and fellow Disney princesses Ariel, Rapunzel, and Belle are going on a North American tour of more than 70 cities, kicking off on August 31 in Lakeland, Florida.
Tickets are now on sale for all 2012 engagements.

The Muppets Take Montreal
Last night the entire Muppets gang (including Walter, the newest Muppet) hosted not one, but two Just for Laughs Festival galas that took place in Montreal. The back-to-back shows were held at the Salle Wilfrid Pelletier of Place des Arts.
