The Lion King Becomes 5th Longest-Running Show on Broadway
Disney's musical "The Lion King" becomes the fifth longest-running show in Broadway history today, when it logs its 6138th performance. It has also recently received the distinction of being the highest-grossing Broadway show ever.
The show premiered on Broadway 15 years ago, spawned 19 touring productions, and has been seen by more than 65 million people around the world. It has been translated into seven languages and has been performed in 15 different countries, making it one of the most popular stage musicals.
Back in 1998, less than a year after it debuted, "The Lion King" won six 1998 Tony Awards®: Best Musical, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Choreography and Best Direction of a Musical.

Reservation Line for Epcot Food & Wine Festival Opens on Aug. 14
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14, phone lines open for reservations for all of the ticketed events for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. Call 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378) to book your reservation. This year, some tickets can also be booked online at epcotfoodfestival.com. Those events are: Party for the Senses, mixology seminars, "3D" Disney's Dessert Discovery, Epcot wine schools and culinary demos in the Festival Center. Don't miss out on this epic food event!

Fans of Broadway's Peter and the Starcatcher Can Own the Annotated Script
Fans of Broadway's Peter and the Starcatcher can now own an annotated edition of the script. The hit play, an adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's adventure series based on the Peter Pan legend, recently received nine Tony Award nominations, including Best New Play and Best Original Score.
The script is presented along with commentary by the playwright, the directors, the composer, the set designer, and Barry and Pearson. Filled with behind-the-scenes information and photos of the cast and crew, the annotated script will enchant and entertain fans of the book and the play alike.

See the Pixar Play Parade at DCA!
If you find yourself at Disney California Adventure this summer, be sure to catch the Pixar Play Parade! The high energy parade features characters from your favorite Pixar films, including "Monsters, Inc.," "The Incredibles," "Ratatouille," "Finding Nemo," "A Bug's Life," and "Toy Story." Along with vibrant floats, the 20-minute street bash showcases catchy tunes, acrobats, puppeteers and dancers. Where is the best place to view the parade, you ask? The best vantage points are at Hollywood Land, Pacific Wharf or Paradise Pier. Gather the whole family for this spectacular show that runs twice daily.
