Corey Cott Takes On Jack Kelly Role in "Newsies"
Corey Cott joins the Broadway production of "Newsies" in the role of the show's leading man Jack Kelly, beginning at today's 2 pm performance.
Corey Cott mades his Broadway debut in "Newsies" just weeks after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama. Cott became the Jack Kelly alternate in mid-August and has performed the role intermittently since. His university credits include "Suddenly Last Summer," "Assassins," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and "Sweeney Todd," among others. He appeared in several productions at Pittsburgh CLO including "Miss Saigon," "The Sound of Music" and "Jesus Christ Superstar" and recently in the New York reading of "Bare" directed by Stafford Arima.
Jeremy Jordan, who received Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for his portrayal of Jack Kelly, played his final performance Tuesday, Sept. 4. He leaves to work full time on his leading role on the network TV show "Smash."

Ross Lynch to Sign Autographs at Disneyland Resort on Sept. 23
Ross Lynch, musician and star of "Austin & Ally" will be appearing at Studio Disney 365, located in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort on Sept. 23 to celebrate the release of the new "Austin & Ally" soundtrack.
If guests are one of the first 300 to purchase a copy of the CD at Studio Disney 365, starting at 8 am on Sept. 23, they will receive a voucher allowing them to return at 1 pm to meet Ross Lynch and have their CD signed.
"Art of Frankenweenie" Preview Event Comes to DLR
Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders will have a special opportunity to preview the "Art of Frankenweenie" traveling exhibit on the evening of Sept. 13, before it becomes available to regular park guests. Passholders will have the choice of two packages: a basic viewing experience (free) or a complete dining package with both experiences taking place after park closing. The exhibition will be shown in the animation courtyard in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure.
The preview-only experience is free and requires registration which opens on Sept. 5. The dining package is available for $290. Guests can register up to three additional guests, but all must be annual passholders. The event will run from 8 pm to 12 am. When registering, passholders can choose from available time slots (20 minute increments). Space to the event is limited. Tickets can be purchased by September 9 over the phone by calling (714) 781-PASS (7277) or in person at any Disneyland Resort ticket booth, while space is available. On the evening of the event, select California Adventure attractions will stay open until midnight.
Attendees can also visit the Muppet*Vision 3D theater for an 8-minute sneak peek of the film in 4D as well as have access to special Frankenweenie-themed merchandise before it goes on sale to the public.

New "Secret of the Wings" Fairy Joins Tinker Bell at Disney Parks
In the newest Disney Fairies movie, "Secret of the Wings," Tinker Bell meets Periwinkle, a frost fairy who turns out to be Tink's sister. In mid-September, guests will be able to meet Periwinkle at Tinker Bell's Magical Nook at Magic Kingdom and at Pixie Hollow at Disneyland.

"The Magic, The Memories and You!" Concludes and "Celebrate the Magic" Begins
"The Magic, The Memories and You!" will be presented for the last time on Labor Day, September 3, at both Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland park. Beginning this November, guests visiting Magic Kingdom Park will be able to enjoy a new nighttime projection show on Cinderella Castle called "Celebrate the Magic." It will incorporate favorite elements from the current show, "The Magic, The Memories and You!" with all-new music, storytelling and special effects.
While "Celebrate the Magic" will be exclusive to Magic Kingdom Park, Disneyland Resort guests can look forward to the return of "it's a small world" holiday later this year.

"The Great Irish Hooley" at Raglan Road
This Labor Day weekend, guests at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort can celebrate The Great Irish Hooley at Raglan Road from August 31 - September 3. A traditional Irish social celebration - or "hooley" - combines music and interactive entertainment. Raglan Road's event will offer a mix of Irish bands, Irish dance workshops, structured set dancing known as the Ceili (pronounced kay-lee), Celtic face-painting and Irish food.
The four-day party kicks off Friday, Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. and continues through midnight Monday, Sept. 3. The entertainment lineup includes six top Irish bands and a troupe of celebrated dancers, including Elevation, the U2 Tribute Band, Raglan Road's house band Creel, and more.
